Reg JMS for SCEA Part 1

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
I have downloaded the JMS tutorial for Java 1.3 from Sun Microsystems. The author of the tutorial is Kim Haase. It is 278 pages long and has about 11 chapters. I remember somone from this forum saying that the first 2 chapters of that tutorial are enough for SCEA as the JMS questions are very basic. Can someone please confirm this?

Also I have the book Java Message Service by Richard Monson Haefel. If I read the first 2 chapters of the tutorial, is it is necessary to read this book? If yes, which chapters should be read from this book to handle the JMS questions in SCEA 1?

Read the concepts, not the API. If you know what is pub/subscribe and when it will be used, you are ok. Don't read the complete API like recieveXXX() level.

Do the first 2 chapters of the JMS tutorial cover all the required concepts for SCEA -1?

I read the complete tutorial, so I can't comment only 2 chapters is sufficient.
