THX for all for u here, I have just passed Part 1 with 85%, so far so good. And I am now moving to Part 2, the assignment exam, but I have some queries, with brothers here can give me some hints.

1. Can I put in some 3rd Party Common framework in my design? Like Struts for View and Controller, Apache-WS for XML-RPC call? As I see in the textbook published by Sun, it has use the apache struts in its class diagram.

2. What should I include in my submission of this assignment, class diagrams for each use case, component diagrams for each use case, sequence diagrams for each use case and anything else I have missed?

THX a lot for ur help

Cheers,
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

2. What should I include in my submission of this assignment, class diagrams for each use case, component diagrams for each use case, sequence diagrams for each use case and anything else I have missed?

The assignment says:

Deliverables:
.....
Create a class diagram. It is not necessary to provide each method name and attribute in the class.

Create a Component diagram that shows all of the J2EE components used in the system and their interaction. For example, what EJBs, Servlets, and/or JSPs might be needed?

Create either a Sequence or Collaboration diagram for each use case provided.

Listing of any assumptions made during the process of coming up with the architecture and design.

So, one class diagram and one component diagram.

Regards,
Dan
