scea certification useability ??

I decide to give SCEA part1 and started preparation from last week.
I was going through some article in net, there it was mentioned that what IT industry searching for skills. It was written that IT industry heading more for soft skills and management skills for career growth rather than certification in some techanical skills.

I thought this will be right forum to discuss this.

I agree with you but what about people who are trying to break into new grounds. A non Java person's only hope is Java certification and a developer's hope is SCEA and so on.

But yes after a certain level only your soft skills and business understanding will take you forward esp. if you are not switching often.
