Dear Ranchers,

I cleared with 78%, happy with the results based on the effort I had put in and issues faced while this time. Thank-full to all of you for your discussions.

Score

Class Diagram (44 maximum) ............................... 39
Component Diagram (44 maximum) ........................... 32 Sequence/Colloboration Diagrams (12 maximum) ............. 7

most of the time was spent in class diagram, regarding component and seq I just wrapped it quickly. Posdeion is a great tool for class and seq diagrams but it does not bring out component diagrams(their interfaces , interactions etc) in such a nice way as Rational tools do. I had also used TikeSwing framework which is swing+MVC together for standalone agent application, seems it is very simple and quick to use.

thanks

Congratulations! I'm almost there, just checking and correcting small things (unfortunately, these small things are taking a lot of time).

Best regards!

I thought of sharing few key things.

1. you should recheck the assigments triply, every time you check you may end up finding at least few mistakes which may cost 4-5 marks. check for associations in the domain classes again and again.

2.Most imp thing is that your assumtions should be reflected neatly in your all diagrams, even if your diagrams are good but your choices made in session, persistance etc etc is not conforming to diags you are in trouble and if you got this right you will surely pass.

3.I was still unhappy about the component diagrams partly because of tool and partly because I had followed almost every thing discussed here and was expecting 5-6 more marks in the same. Any ways all is well that ends well.

I also felt that seq diagrams are given much lesser a weightage seeing the effort involve in drawing these 5-7 of them.

SCEA is no doubt a good certification, give confidence to those who are doing this first time and brushes up concepts for those in J2EE who have done all these things before.

Does any one know of any certification which is more architetcure intensive , I mean where we are not given the architectureal choices beforehand and can choose the type of technology, servers, design workload on servers base on their capacity etc, chose various architectural patterns hub spoke,P2P,Brokers for a problem at hand.
