Hi,

I'm finishing my documentation and I was wondering what can I write about reliability.
I was thinking about just saying that the use of J2EE services improves the System's reliability.

Does anybody has an idea of what else can I write ?

Best Regards

nope, J2EE doesn't improve reliability. Clustering does and they have got two web servers.

The J2EE transaction management does.

Reliability is the ability to ensure consistency and integrity of the application and all its transaction.

Then, any means to improve this can be:

- J2EE services (yes like transaction manager)
- and also we can improve through horizontal scalability (adding more servers).

Then if we increase reliability, availability goes up too!

Gabriel

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
