* 225 seats per plane (max on Boeing 767)
* 10 flights per day (large planes acually have lower turnaround)
* 20 planes (including future)
========================================================
45,000 single seat reservations per day

I wonder, where 200,000 "airfares per day" comes from :-) ?

Hmmm good point. Maybe they are counting on express carriers...

Andy,

200,000 airfares booking per day may not all be for the same day. They could be done for future dates.

Definitely a good question.
In general overbooking is allowed which is around 15%. Here may be the analyst has assumed it to be more than 300%.

What about indirect flights - wont that result in more airfares ? Do we need to take that into account ?

Try to read requirements more in detail and do not forget to take in account that what customer requires should have greatest priority. I mean if they are expecting such great number of airfares, it has to be mentioned on the paper and then subscribed by the customer and agreed upon it. Besides that I see also other big planes.
