For question 1 A one tier application is not necessarily manageable because you have to deploy it to lots of pcs potentially, and they are definiately not Scalable and I have never heard them being referred to as Interoperable either. So I probably would have picked A - but not because I thought it was the obvious choice - more because I thought it was less wrong.
Developers will be able to utilize the JMAPI specification to develop and deploy services, manage applications remotely and securely, moniter system operations and maintain service to large volumes of networked devices - allowing them to be dynamically managed and updated easily from a central location.
-> sounds like it shopuld be C to me.
