Hi All,

I passed Part 1 of SCEA with 81 % . Not a great score , however I hardly prepared much for this . For last 3 weeks I had gone through Javaranch, Whizlab simulators, Cade and Roberst book and also book by Paul Allen and Joseph Bambara and that is all I think. I have been working in Java for several years though. I have been postponing this exam for several years.

Now I have two questions for you guys

1. How long it takes typically to prepare for assignment . Can it be done in 2 or 3 weeks ?

2. Since I had to study lot for EJB does it make sense to take SCBCD also . Will the study for SCEA Part 1 exam will be helpful in SCBCD exam?. I want to take as many certification as possible while I am still motivated.

Any reply will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards
..Kaushal

Hi Kaushal

1. I spent about 3 months in reading books and doing mock exams.
2. Helpful but not very much. Maybe take SCBCD first, just a suggestion.

Hi,

I have spent two weeks studying for part-II (while I was waiting for the download assignment authorization).

In fact the only thing you should study is the Core J2EE Patterns (and some samples- petstore and Mark Cades).

About the SCBCD, it helps a little, but not so much. If you are knowledgeable in EJB, you should have no problem.
