I am pretty excited to say that i have cleared part I with 91% score. It has been a long journey since i started preparation - never expected such a good score. I found that time was quite tight.

Great !! congrats to you.
I have just started figuring about SCEA.
Could you please let me know that which version of J2EE / EJB is covered for this exam and which books are preferred.

Richard - Haefel - Orielly is enough which covers EJB 2.0 and 1.1.
Does this exam covers ejb2.0 which is included in J2EE1.3

Regards,
Manish

In SCEA EJB 2.0 is asked. More than EJB version you need to through with the EJB concepts to choose the correct EJB in correct
scenario. I consulted this book

Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE
Paul Allen
Joseph Bambara

Deepak Bala

Hi Ajay,

Congrats !

Which books did you use for your preparation ? The book by Paul and Joseph did not receive great reviews at amazon. Did it help ? What kind of questions did the exam throw at you and what weightage did each topic receive ?
