Last night I a passed the part 1 exam for Sun Certified Enterprise Architect (SCEA).
Result
======
The score is not as high as some of other folks have reported but good enough from my perspective. I answered 41 question correct out of 48, resulting in 85% score.
Following is the section-wise performance:
Concepts ............................................ 100%
Common Architectures........................ 50%
Legacy Connectivity............................ 60%
EJB.................................................... 100%
EJB container Model.......................... 100%
Protocols........................................... 100%
Applicability of J2EE.......................... 66%
Design Patterns.................................. 80%
Messaging......................................... 100%
Internationalization.............................. 100%
Security.............................................. 100%

Prepration:
==========
I prepared for about two weeks only but I already knew about Design Pattern, UML, EJB (already SCBCD), so it was not that hard on me.
I read following:
1. Cade's book.
2. John Wetherbie's notes. Thanks John.
3. Practice question from http://www.geocities.com/subra_73/SCEA_Practice_Questions.htm Thanks again to publisher.

John's notes and the questions from above URL really helped me. I liked Cade's book as well. It's very concise and to the point. If you already know the detail of subject then this is best book to prepare you with a focus on exam.

Wishing good luck and success to all folks who currently are preparing,

Devender Thareja.
Sun Certified Enterprise Architect part: I.
Sun Certified Business Component Developer.
IBM Certified specialist for Websphere Application Developer.
Sun Certified Java Programmer.
