Can screen scrapers write back to the source webpage ?

Just wondering if Screenscrapers can write as well as they read from source pages ?

Why would a screen scrapper want to read/write to a web page ? Should you not be using a scrapper to temporarily integrate with legacy technology like a mainframe terminal instead ? A browser interface is certainly not legacy

Sorry my bad. I meant a legacy Terminal, not a webpage... Kinda makes more sense now.

You mean a screen scraper over a legacy terminal ? I think they can read as well as write....
