Because it's so easy to understand, I don't understand it. Can anyone explain the interpreter pattern to help me understand it? For some reason it is not sinking in and I am using Head First Design Patterns and Mark Cade's book.

Read through a class diagram that describes the Interpreter pattern and think about how a computer programming language compiler works.
