This may sound wierd, but I might end up in a situation where I first take Part III and then submit Part II.

My Part III is tomorrow and I tried to upload the assignment today. However, the certmanager says 'I dont have the rights to upload'. So I have contacted Sun to give me upload permissions.

However, it is very likely that they might not give me permissions by tomorrow which would mean I will first sit for Part III and then submit Part II when they give me the permissions.

Did anyone encounter this siutation? What would be the implications of this?

Thanks.

I assume (hopefully) you mentioned to Sun that you have been trying to upload the Part II as your Part III is just around the corner.

I don't think it's massively bad - as long as they're aware that you're trying to upload it, you should be fine. (It also didn't take that long to get permission once I requested it.) The two get combined anyway at grading time.

Given that I'm a pessimist, I'd be biting my fingernails if I were you.

I'd write an e-mail to the address included in the "Questions about uploading your assignment" literature that came with the assignment and confirm that what you're planning on doing is acceptible.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies. The situation is still the same. I have'nt received a reply from suncert@prometric.com in the last 36 hours. I have my exam in a couple of hours time and I have no option but to sit for Part C and then submit Part B when I get the assignment permissions.

During this process I contacted Sun UK number, they had no clue about assignment uploads and suggested that I contact Prometric UK. So I contacted Prometric, and they had no clue, they suggested I contact Sun :-)

I don't know who owns this email 'suncert@prometric.com'. I would imagine it is Sun. And to be more specific it must be Sun USA.

Anyway, will let you know what happens eventually.

I faced the same situation. It took 4 business days to receive a reply from SunCert.

ok, it is all sorted out now. I received a mail from sun that my permission are set. so I uploaded the assignment after a few hours of taking Part III.

If someone faces this situation in future, there is nothing to panic. just send sun an email about the problem, they will correct in a couple of day time. If you are to take Part III before they sort that out, then just take Part III and upload Part II, when they have sorted it out.
