Part II: can I use Struts in design

I used Struts in my FlyByNight design. Anyone knows if that is OK to use third party framework(e.g. Apache struts) in design?

Oh, I don't think it's a good idea, maybe it will not make negetive impact on your score, but I prefer the pure J2EE technique, which mentioned in the J2EE tutorial, if you are not familliar with JSF, jsp and servlet also good solution for web tier.

Just my own suggestion, FYI.

You can design your components using all the design patterns used in struts - you don't have to call it struts in your design - just action, controller, view helper etc.
