Hi Friends

I have completed SCJP, SCWCD.

Can any one please suggest what exam should I take next?

Some of my friends suggest to take SCBCD and some suggest SCEA.

So I am a bit confused.

And regarding SCEA, we have to complete the following exams:

- Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition - Mulitple Choice exam (CX-310-051)
- Step 2 - Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition - Assignment (CX-310-300A)
- Step 3 - Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition - Essay Exam (CX-310-061)
- Assignment Resubmission - Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology, Assignment (CX-310-300R)

Am I right? Please let me know if I am wrong.

Thanks in Advance
Shoba

It makes sense to complete SCBCD before going for SCEA. And yes, you will have three stages in SCEA.

Currently there is an SCEA 5 Beta Exam which is free and if you want to give it a try this is the right time for you.

Hi Shoba,

I am also an SCEA aspirant. I feel to be a better architect we should be able to go through the middle layer certifications atleast till SCBCD and then step in for a SCEA.

But personally, I feel an architect should know the over all about J2EE, EJB, Web services and even mobile technology to be at his/her best

Anyways thats my personal view...Expert suggestions would guide us better

Thanks,
Neo
