I could not register because of prometric center's fault. Is there any way out?

Hi,

On 26th I had registered to a local prometric center at Pune, India both by phone and email. But they sent the details to the central administration on 4th Oct. As a result nobody from this center was able to register.

I wrote to both who2contact@central.sun.com and Indian.Registrations@Thomson.com. But they are not replying. Is there any way out so that I can still register for this exam. I dont know when the main examination will be released.

With Regards

Companies are typically very unforgiving with regards to beta exams.

I wish you luck, but if I were a lawyer, I wouldn't take the case.

Good luck though.

I too had requested registration at a Mumbai (India) center, and had even got a confirmation email from them on 25th Sept. 2007.

They called me up this Saturday (6th Oct), and informed me that the exam code is no longer available for registration, which was not a surprise for me. It seems they were not aware that the registrations were open only on the 26th and 27th Sept.

I called up the Thompson Support Center (0124 - 4517160) as suggested by Lawrence, and they were also of no help. They asked me to contact Sun (whotocontact@central.sun.com), but since Kunal has got no response from Sun, I guess writing to them would be a wasted effort.

Since the center was listed on the Sun web-site, I think there was nothing wrong in assuming that they were aware of the registration dates. I had spent almost 2 weeks in studying for the exam, but I guess I'll have to wait till the final version comes out.

Exactly the same problem here.
Shame on the NIIT people, I had registered with them on 26th and taken a date too, and today the lady calls up and says "sorry sir, we couldn't register it as the exam is not available in the list!"
I think we need to contact the certification manager in india.
This is too much, how can we just let go an opportunity worth 20 grand?

You guys have missed the oppurtunity due to bunch of jokers in the prometric centers who do not understand or realize what is to be done in time. Go slap them.
