All,

Today gave one the challenging exams in my career......in sense to sit for 4 hrs, read the lengthy paragraphs.....understand whats given....whats asked and to choose from the choices and finally no scores or results for the tiresome effort....

Whether getting thro or not, its good great feeling, having given it.

Coming to the exam, got some 8 Qs about the my experience level in technologies and architecting skills.....

Then quickly rushed thro Q1 to Q153 in 30 mins, grazed thro the Qs marking the one's with couple of lines and one's with Task, I really love matching things......

Next I spent 1.30 hrs from Q153 to Q1 marking most of them,
took break for 10 mins( must to have break to free your mind)
then started the wheel from Q1 to Q153 for the next 1 hr.

Finally came to end checked the marked ones in item for review spent some 30 mins and finally ended the exam...........

Got a thank you msg.....instead of score or result....came out.

A real mind bloggling and challenging one.

Qs were mainly from

n-tier architechture, pros/cons
design patterns, some straight forward ones
EJB 3.0, mainly the WebServices with Stateful Stateless, transactions
couple of Qs with annotations
handful of qs in JPA, JMS
JSF given the scenario choose the technology to be used
Some 5 or 6 qs using JCA
Usage of Webservice APIs
Some on OOAD principles
A good no of qs in Security SQL injection, session hijacking etc
Here and there qs in Applet security, securitymanager, SOA, AJAX,custom tags,JNDI very basic ones.

References I used are mainly from the javapassion site, mainly read the overview of the JavaEE technologies, SUN tutorial and the books which are mostly listed in the SCEA Beta study references page and some references from the net for security.

Interesting strategy for doing the exam. With 150+ questions, I just started at the beginning and went to the end, marking as few as I could, because I didn't want to have to go back too often.

Good link.
