Hi
I am SCJP 5, but I am not familiar with j2EE, Do you think
that I can be SCEA.

Actually I want to learn stuff like OOD, Design Paterns, UML, extra.
I am already design systems with OOD, and use OOP.

Thanks

For SCEA, you will be designing JEE components, so you need to know JEE in a certain level. You dont need to be SCBCD, SCWCD or SCDJWS to take SCEA.

SCJD is more on design, etc. on JSE.

You can skim through the SCEA book by Mark Cade to get an idea of the scope. For a higher level of scope, look at Sun's webpage for that.

You can be SCEA if you study and learn the material.

The certification exams have two purposes - first, to recognize those who have developed strong skills through industry experience, and secondly, to motivate those with less experience to learn about the technology and have a clearly stated to with which to work towards. It sounds like you may fall into the second category.

But print out the exam objectives, get motivated, start learning, and you'll be an SCEA architect before you know it!
