On December 14th, I passed SCEA I exam with a score off 93%.
So I immediately requested the assignment, downloaded and stared working on it.

I took the SCEA I exam based on J2EE 1.4, seeing the option of taking the SCEA I exam for JEE 5, I am now wondering if it is possible to switch to JEE 5 now for the rest of the certification path.
Is this possible? Is it even relevant?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, obviously I was very satisfied with it myself .
I did however teas my boss telling him I needed to redo the exam.
Seeing his shocked face I added that my score wasn't fully 100%

Awesome job!

You should be able to take the Java 5 assignment with any version of the exam.

Hi Marcel !

Congrats on your Part 1.

For Part 2 - I saw some people reported here that they used JEE 5 (with old assignment) and passed. So, don't worry. If assignment text does not explicitly asks for some specific version JEE - you free to use any version.

Also, I would send an e-mail to Sun certification officials to ask whether I am allowed to use JEE 5.

regards,
MZ

Thanks for the answer guys, I'll send the question to sun officials and keep you informed about their answers.

Cheers,
Marcel

Congratulations!

Don't think you can even think about switching to 5 until it is officially released.

JEE 5 or J2EE, it doesn't matter - the SCEA cert is the most respected of them all, regardless of which version you get it in. Follow through on this cert and you won't be sorry.

I agree with Cameron. You can't take SCEA 5 until it's released. But there's no stopping you from providing a JEE 5 solution in your assignment.

Good luck! Superb score.
