I am really excited as the result will be out very very soon and checking my mail every seconds . At least for me, this is one of the milestone I am eager to reach for few years.

What do you, specially the seasoned architects, feel about this certificate?

THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!

TELL US HOW YOU DID!!! POST YOUR RESULTS HERE:

SCEA JEE 5 Sun Certified Enterprise Architect Exam Results

Most widely respected in the industry. That and the developer exam, but developers are much lower on the food chain than architects.

Wasn't it George Castanza that said he 'always wanted to pretend he was an architect'?

Yeah I am looking forward to it after a long wait. At the end of part III, it mentioned about 15 Feb 2008. I hope the result released on time.

Excited!

If Sun will follow the same pattern of part 1, all of us should receive an e-mail about 4:00 PM Pacific time . This is really terrifying

It is indeed very confusing to wait in the last moments before announcing
results.

Hei friends!

Despite of the final result, we are already champions! After all, we have passed thru a 159 question exam, a large project and a 9 question essay!

And all these steps have made me study more and be more qualified for the daily job!

So, good luck for you all but dont be sad in case of a bad result. Just try again!

Uh, another important thing: DO NOT FALL IN THE TEMPTATION OF COMPARING RESULTS! For me it is binary: passed or not. The projects were different and the deadline was very short! I have had only two weeks to complete my project.

Remember: We are the Architects. Resistance is futile. The project managers will be assimilated.

One wonders why they'd release it just in time to ruin Valentine's Day dinner for folks in the United States....

Well, we'll see what the tone's in here tomorrow...

Hope for the best!

Here is my question that yesterday I sent to Sun and Prometric:

Dear Prometric and Sun,
I taken SCEA 5 beta all three parts. The last part - essey - I've taken on 20 Dec. Still havn't recieved result. Is it available somewhere?
Thanks,

Here is reply that today I got from sun (Appreciate Sun for very fast answer!):

Dear Dawid Augustynowicz,
Thank you for contacting Sun Certification Customer Support. We are happy to assist you.

We appreciate your patience.
Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Thank you for choosing Sun products and services.

Somebody very wise and very handsome on one of these threads prognosticated that a delay certainly wouldn't be unthinkable. I think that very Brad Pitt looking person said something about not being surprised by a software company coming in a little late on their release dates - as if any of us has a record of always bringing in our products on time.

Just can't remember who that brilliant person was, or what thread I read it on, but I do believe that someone very wise and brilliant made such assertions.

Incredibly Brilliant and Handsome Man Views the Future on a JavaRanch Thread - Mighty Powers!!!

A modern day Nostradomus, for sure.

And remember, Sun has been very generous allowing us all to take part in this process for FREE. That is very generous, and very egalitarian. An update would have been polite, but let's not act like they owe us anything. I'm extremely grateful for the experience and the opportunity, while at the same time recognizing that this must have been a very, very expensive process for Sun. I mean, they paid for all of us to sit in Prometric twice. I wouldn't want to be on the hook for that bill!

Waiting patiently,

-Cameron McKenzie

To be fair, I would (as a company putting out these exams) be more concerned with what would happen if there were major issues with an exam that wasn't tested when it's released into the wild.. but that's just the other side of things. The sums they're paying to have Prometric let us sit for the exam are a pittance compared to that.

And I'm inclined to agree - so it's another two weeks. Big deal. We've been waiting this long, and I waited a good four months for my original SCEA score...

Since when did software companies start worrying about the quality of the product they put out?

I admit that the whole experience was wonderful. Yet, sun itself sat our high expectation for a perfectly on time test results (remember the results of part I). On the other side, I knw for sure that grading an assignment is not as half easy as grading the MCQ part I. Hard work and generious as well. I can never agree more. BUT I can't stop worrying about my results

I started a new thread to list results, success and "try agains:"

SCEA JEE 5 Sun Certified Enterprise Architect Exam Results

I passed. What a great way to start the week (at least, for those of us in the two most important countries in the world that had Monday off).

Hi,
I passed finally.
I had described the solutio in greater details but diagrams were not showing details of all that I described as per UML specs. But looks like what I sent was adequate.
