Just got my email, sent out at 12:43pm, Eastern Time.

It says "Congratulations on completing all the requirements." I was like "I know I completed them. I want to know if I PASSED them!" But apparently, completed means passed, so I'm good.

Congratulations on completing all the requirements for the
Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 certification. You were certified on 12/22/2007.

Prior to Sun sending the certificate to you, we require that you login to the CertManager and verify or update your current mailing address, if you have not done so within the last 6 months. This ensures that your certificate will be mailed to your personal address successfully. Once this step is completed, your certificate will be mailed; please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery of International Mail.

Please logon to CertManager at http://www.certmanager.net/sun.
You can use this site to download logos, publish your transcripts, request additional copies of a certificate, and review/confirm your mailing address. You will need your official score report the first time you log on.

Congratulations!

Certification Department

Don't know what my scores are, but I'm happy. I'll have to see if I can log into that Prometric Site, only I don't know the details of my exam.

This is so good. I mean, I couldn't really write the SCEA JEE5 Certification Study Guide if I failed.

Stocks are up, lost a lb on the scale this morning, books are selling well, and I'm SCEA certified - it's turning into a very good day.

It says I didn't pass. Kinda don't agree with it. I believe they have their reasons, but I'll sure ask for it to be re-evaluated... if this sort of thing exists.

Results are a bit confusing though, because my certification progress doesn't say anything about failing, just the history tells I've failed. Said but true.

Hi all,

I was so surprised today that publishing Certification is no more free.
In order to publish Certification, you have to pay 30$. This is really so disappointing.

Passed as well...am quite relieved.

But I also agree its disappointing that it costs money to have your certified Sun credentials emailed to anyone. Every time you want to do it. Doesn't Sun get enough money from us in exam fees?

I have not received email, but the certmanager gives me the good news:

Feb 19, 2008 Feb 19, 2008 Fulfillment 3537103 Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5: Created Details

I'm relieved. I realized a few recurring mistakes in my activity diagrams the day after I submitted my exam, and there was actually one symbol which said "black magic here" -- pining for the presence of Hibernate-like DetachedCriteria in the JPA spec! I know how I woulda, coulda, shoulda done those activity diagrams if I hadn't run out of time, but I'm glad I don't have to prove it by retaking the damn thing.

yay us!

I passed. Actually I never fail a single prometric exam. However, I regret that I have taken this beta. Upgrade test only costs $100 and only needs to fulfill one multi-choice exam.

But this test is better, should be more valuable than SCEA.

I'll admit that I too felt the same for a while, but I think I ended up taking all three parts for some validation - admittedly, not at my expense - that my passing the original SCEA wasn't a fluke.

But this test is better, should be more valuable than SCEA.

Well, this won't be more valuable than SCEA if only because it is the SCEA, but... I do understand what you mean, and I think that yes, it'll end up being more valuable than the original exam.

I going to design a brand new business card with Illustrator when I get the materials.

Dear Peter (Certification ID#: ************)

Congratulations on completing all the requirements for the
Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 certification. You were certified on 12/21/2007.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

PS: Had I failed, I would have taken the second and third parts again, because I felt it was well worth the exercise. At least it has solidified a couple more design pattern and the UML notation in my head. Kudos to the Jude/UML Community edition, brilliant software too. I will probably considering paying the guy who developed it by buying a license of him, whenever I get my a new engagement.

Best.

anybody here have part 1 of the old scea? the upgrade exam is in essence the part 1 of scea5. so if you pass scea5 and you have part 1 of the old scea then you should be both scea and scea5 right? (pushing my luck here )
