I have passed SCEA part-1, i got following mail from SUN

Thank you for registering for the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform (310-051). Due to the new release of the SCEA 5, Sun will be discontinuing the existing exam (310-051, 310-300A, 310-061).

Please note that you will have until February 29th, 2008 to purchase your vouchers for 310-300A and 310-061. You will have until December 31, 2008 to complete all parts of this exam.

Also, you CANNOT combine Part 1, Part 2 or Part 3 of the SCEA (310-051, 310-300A, 310-061) exam with the existing new exam SCEA 5 (310-052, 310-301A, 310-062).

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please contact SUN, at who2contact@sun.com.
Sincerely,
SunCert@prometric.com

i called up their local representative based at Bangalore to confirm this, they said that you only need to purchase voucher for SCEA-2 before 29th Feb

and for SCEA-3 (310-061) you can buy this even after 29th Feb because its a common voucher for all the exams starting with code 310 (like scjp etc), therefore this voucher is there to stay and could be purchased after 29th Feb.

i am confused since this is contradictory to the mail sent by SUN.

please let me know if anyone has information on this.

Even I got the exact reply today. When I called up Sun Micro office here in bangalore, they told me to talk to -RPS Sun Learning Center (Vaishnavi)

Any idea if this informatino is authentic.

I think Sun should be more responsible ,,, we are paying them more than 500$ for the SCEA exam and they seem too irresponsible.
