The scoring schema was described in detail in the assignment, so I would think that we should get those as well?

Previously all certification scores have been available in certmanager.net/sun_assignment
even part 1 of SCEA5 beta. Part 2+3 are not there.

(I haven't received an e-mail either, so the only reason I know that I have passed is certmanager.net/sun

So, anyone who knows if/when/how we will get the actual scores?

I too am anxious to see my scores. I'm assuming I will get something in the mail, or some form of email. Perhaps they just wanted to get the pass/fail information out first, and then push the actual scores out in time.

Who knows, maybe the policy has changed, as this is a new certification.

Be patient young grasshoppers.

I did notice, if you want to publish your credentials using sun certmanager site, you must pay 45 dollars, before was free.

I think, they (sun) could permit you send a mail to employee with your credentials, and if they (employee) want to see these, they could pay.

I created a thread in the SCJP forum to ask about the publishing of credentials to from Sun's certmanager site:

Think you were to quick on the copy/pasting :-) That link goes to a post about old mock exams.

Anyway, this is off topic, but who in their right mind would be willing to pay to have their credentials published like that?

I've heard that there are some problems in India with people faking their resumes, so that might be why that feature is there. Me, if some one asks I'll just make a copy (or scan) of the credit card sized certificates, although I guess this is not a photoshop safe approach...

Well, according to the site, they shipped my certification pack today. I'd imagine the scores shouldn't be too far behind, so they'll arrive in the mail in a few days.

Well, you normally don't get a score sheet for part 2/3 SCEA. You see the scores in certmanager.net/sun_assignment

So I'm not very hopeful that we will ever see the scores.

Seems we won't be getting the scores. I have e-mailed sun, but they haven't replied.

Also, I haven't gotten a mail about me passing, I only know through certmanager. This is apparently something a lot of you have experienced as well..?

I checked the SCEA5 Beta Assignment instructions again.

We will post only a pass or fail. If you fail, we will let you know which sections need improvement in order to pass so you do not have to focus on all sections with your resubmission.

As per the released SCEA 5 exam instructions,

You will need to score 71% (114/160) to pass parts 2 and 3.

. There is no passing score per section, but only a combined passing score. But SCEA Beta specified passing score per section as well as combined passing score.

The certmanager.net/sun_assignment shows that

Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE 5, Part 3 (310-062) Dec 22 2007 P 140
Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 (310-052) Oct 22 2007 P 63

How does one find out the section wise score for part 2 and part3? Would Sun/ Prometric mail the transcript to us?

All,

Initially next to Part 3 it use to show Grade as "T" ( which i assumed as "Taken") and score 0.

Today It's shows Grade as "P" with score 0.

Does it mean that i passed? or does it mean pending?. I have Grade "P" next to Part 1 which i had cleared earlier.

Very anxious to know if anybody has inputs.

Thanks

Pravin Kumar
