Hi All,
I am a Java/J2EE Developer with about 5 Years of Experience. As my experience increases, it gives me great satisfaction and employer credibility to constantly upgrade my knowledge and skill - One of the modes being through industry recognised certifications.
Now, I have completed
SCJP 1.4, 5.0 and SCBCD 1.3 and my experience all revolves around
Java, JSP/Servlet,
Struts,
EJB, JAAS, Web Services,
JBoss and
Tomcat. Within the next 2 Years, I intend to further this by expecting exposure to other frameworks such as Spring/Hibernate/JSF, etc. coupled with Domain Skills in Finance(Out of Scope!)
I am in a dilemma whether to go straight for
SCEA 5 (As i feel i need more experience to extract great value out of it and at the same time the right role to put the knowledge at work gained by it - a vicious circle.) I am inclined towards taking up SCDJWS first. Moreover, the technologies involved in SCEA 5 (i believe most of it is technology independent) will be straight out from JEE 5. My experience is all around technology/frameworks meant for J2EE 1.3 or 1.4.
Now, my doubts are:
1. Do you recommend me to go for SCEA 5 directly?
2. SCDJWS - Does it really add value to knowledge base? (I expect to continue working on EJB/Web Services in near future)
Please provide inputs, suggestions.
Thanks.
