Could you please try to help me to understand this question bellow:

"You have been told that you will need to integrate with an Enterprise Information System (EIS) for the next phase of the applications release. You need to access the business logic of Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) in a tightly-coupled way. "

answers:

- System contracts defined between application server and the EIS resource adapter provides connection pooling.

- The JCA coupling interface is strictly defined through Common Client Interface.

Tks in advance!

Hi Steven,

I guess you omit the next sentence in the question.....
"Which two are benefits of using JCA over a custom solution? (Choose two.)
"

Actually based on this last sentence this is where the 2 answers you provided is being derived.

FYI.....The answer for benefits of using JCA can be found in
https://blueprints.dev.java.net/books.html
Chapter 6 - Enterprise Application Integration

Just a suggestion..... In the actual exam, even though you might not understand the whole question, what you can do is to try to pick up keywords and guess what the question is asking (e.g patterns? JCA? JSF? JPA? EJB 3?)
From there you can try to work out the answer.

In this case.... the first part of the question is kind of redundent.... (at least to me... ) What they're looking for is just the answer to "benefits of using JCA"
