Hello Ganesan:

I am a Data Storage Administrator for a large, multi petabyte enterprise. Our data is consumer oriented and needless to say, security and 100% availability are the top concerns for all parties.

Our storage infrastructure is moving toward a a core/edge topology, and as you may already know, largely operates with SNMP for monitoring, operations, and troubleshooting. Curiously, most of the vendors provide Java applications and some services to aid in this incredibly complex field.

I am curious how the SCEA track can help prepare programmer/administrators like me in a shifting storage infrastructure.

Thanks,

Mike

another question to Ganesan:

Hi Ganesan,

I need to develop a client application, working like 'widget' on client cumputers ... so to do the view layer I am in doubt about 'JSF' or 'JavaFX' ... and to do the communication between client-server ( a short mount of information-images and texts) what do you suggests: webservices, RMI or a HTTP connection to do this?

thanks,

Andre
