Hello ... I have completed my JCP certification and working towards the Web Component Developer one but I am planning on skipping the Business Component. Is the Business Component and Web Services certification required or recommended for the SCEA?

the BCD is certainly not required. I know people that passed SCJA and then passed SCEA. Now, will knowing business component development help you? Of course!
