Can you give some advice on how to approach study of UML for the SCEA exam.

I can learn the mechanics of UML from books such as UML Distilled. However what I'm struggling with at the moment is the approach that is required for the use of UML in part 2 of the exam.

What process do you follow? Which UML diagrams are required? Are there any sample submissions that demonstrate the structure and depth of the design documentation?

Does the "SCEA 5.0 Training Labs" help prepare you for the project submission?

Regards

Paul

I actually found the book by Terry Quantrani, Visual Modelling with IBM Rational Software Architect and UML to be very helpful, even if it does focus on IRAD and RSA. If you're in the IBM arena of JEE5 development, I'd certainly recommend it for helping you understand RUP and the process of developing object models and UML notation.
