I want to get a feel for how much of JSF is asked in exam. I read through some tutorials over the net and know the life cycle and some basics like when to use, where to use etc. Does that suffice ?

That's OK. The exam ask about high level concepts about JSF.

it is better to do a couple of small jsf project to get hands on experience and feel. It would give youself more confidence on it.
