Hi All,

I have recently cleard my SCDJWS certification (on 7th of oct), now i am in delima of whether i shd go for SCEA or SCBCD ?It must be tough to clear all three levels of SCEA but i think its more tougher to maintain the knowlegde graph later in future.

Being an acrhitect, means always updated with new technologies and am not kind of studious person.

Is EJB is hot these days ??
Please suggest.

I think you should try SCBCD first, because it covers many topics required by SCEA.
But try taking SCBCD 5 (EJB 3), which is the newest version, not SCBCD 1.3. You'll find enough material to use, better than studying for SCEA 5 (which demands many resources abroad).

Hi Rajni,

I recommend you to pass SCBCD5 first.
It's simpler because it's code-oriented and well documented.
With this certification you can obtain great knowledge of transactions, security, deployment, and other stuff very importants for SCEA.

Hope it helps,

Benot

I agree with all the other comments. Take SCBCD first before SCEA, you'll be able to explain your proposed solutions for SCEA better if you have SCBCD.

EJB 3 is quite hot these days, but JPA (which is part of the new SCBCD scope) is even hotter!

All the best...
