Hi,

I'm young Java Developer, I'm developing in Java Since 16 Years Old, and at the 17 I got my first Certification(SCJP 1.4 81%) Score.

Now I'm finishing my preparation for SCWCD 1.4. My plan is to be an SCEA at 22 Years Old.

I wanna know what kind of International opportunities can I have, with that, because my country is very difficult to grow(Dominican Republic). And I wanna be a Very Powerful programmer outside my country.

I Just want an opinion, and know that this certification can give me a high level inside the industry, and how much salary can I hope, doing that in the future?

Thanks for listen to me...

Firstly, please don't post in all uppercase. Please read this for more information.

Secondly, at least in the US, certifications will not enable you to command a high salary. They may get you into job interviews, or bring you to the attention of those with jobs to offer, but your salary will generally depend upon your level of experience and your competence within your job.

I agree with Bear, certifications can only take you that far. In my opinion, employers pay more attention to actual experience than the certifications you have obtained.

I also think that it does not matter much where you reside especially with people doing more and more transactions over the internet.

You can work with top notch clients wherever you are. There are however some challenges that go with that kind of setup like different timezones but I'm sure that can all be worked out.

You might want to take a look at TopCoder. It's an interesting site where you can dive into programming action and compete among the best in the world.

When you sign up, please mention that you were referred by justjoined.

All the best.

Do not give it up!!!,

You will find that You liked, in the job environment.

Always, studing, and hard working, are the keys.

You know, I was working in the computer field for 18 years.

Several environment, Mainframe, clients server, J2EE, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.

The experience is very important, but if you have the certifications too, is a must, and a good introduction about You.
