Hi
I asked this for SJCP as well. I assume you will get all you need by just studing the specs and the APIs. ...hopefully much more of the specs than the API. (got to hate studying APIs !!)

If you're already experienced with mobile development in J2ME (but most likely using older versions of MIDP and CLDC, for example), then you probably can get by for the exam with only the new specs/APIs and some mock exams.
The time you need a book or some other help is if there are things in the specs that you don't understand, or that you can't get to work properly. I have found these specs to be pretty friendly and readable, but they don't tell you how to *do* everything -- some things can be figured out only with experimentation. Fortunately, you can do a LOT of experimentation using the wireless toolkit
At least most of the topics are really interesting and worth studying!
cheers,
Kathy
