Ko Ko Naing, you can pass with high mark. I've gone through once, but still need time to rememorize all. I will take it probably in Oct or Nov.

I toke this exam last week and passed.
I think this exam is pretty easy unless u want to get 100%.
I only read Jonathan's book , but i think this book is not enough.
The most helpful to me is Sathya's SCMAD note, it is really good!

When I started to prepare this exam, first thing I realized is that
I can have 30 wrong answer, WoW~~~~
so don't worry.

I am sure Ko Ko wanna get 90+.

Thus, he can only have at most 6 answers incorrect.

You're not alone. Depending how my month goes, I might take it either the last week of September or the first week of October. We'll see.

Besides those resources you mentioned, have you refer other references? Such as Wireless Java 2nd edition?

Or, still, The complete reference is more than enough for SCMAD?

Thanks.

Does "J2ME:The Complete Reference" cover all specifications that are needed for SCMAD exam? Such as MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1, WMA 1.1 and MMAPI 1.1...
Wireless Java is updated to MIDP 2.0... But still we need to read for other specifications...

Yeah If i had a HF Book would have been happy.Actually the complete reference does not cover the entire objectives, but I am using it more as a reference and sathyas notes as the exam pointers.

It's not that painful... I'm gradually feeling comfortable with them now....

I heard from Bert once that if there is a reasonable amount of MAD people who wants to go for SCMAD, then they will consider to do Head First SCMAD... But it seems like very small amount of J2ME developers are taking this exam, I feel...

Yup, there are less MAD people in the market.

Anyway, in such case, I prefer Kathy and Bert release HF Tiger or HF SCEA.

I worked with Web Service for 1/2 year on WSAD 5.1.

In addition, although some people mentioned that they only read the spec, however, I am not a good spec reader. A good book is a MUST to me.

I have no choice.

I decide to start my SCJD on Oct, where I purchased the assignment, but then, there was a promotion from the univeristy that we could take SCJP 1.4 (SAI) with 75% off discount, and SCWCD 1.3 with 70% off discount. The expiry date for both exam were of the same day, i.e. Oct 31 2003.

After that, Evenlyn announced that SCWCD 1.4 beta is released.

As the exam fee was so attractive, then....

Ko ko,

u r not alone, I failed the beta as well, 2% below the passing mark.
have been wondering, in beta, they only choose a few questions for certain part in beta as they cant possibly take all questions, if they have choosen one or two question I answer correctly, I would have passed.
Anyway, a fail is a fail. Complaining doesnt help.
Need to start all over again.
I am reading J2ME specs now... a painful journey started...
