Syed,
Errr no.
For the benefit of others who are planning on sitting the exam, to avoid further confusion, here is part of the text of the email I received when Sun sent me the voucher:
This voucher number is only valid for the 311-090 Sun Certified Business
Component Developer for J2EE beta exam from June 6 through July 7, 2003. If you
do not take the exam by July 7, the voucher will expire and you will have to
purchase a voucher in order to take the exam. This voucher is NOT transferable
and cannot be used by anyone but yourself. Should you not be able to take the
Beta, please contact me and we will arrange to give the voucher number to
another candidate.
Do not lose this number. On June 4, 2003, Prometric will begin registration for
the 311-090 beta exam. You will need to call the Prometric registration center
in your region (see list at the bottom of this email) to register for the
location, date and time you wish to take the exam. They will ask for the voucher
number above at that time. Remember after 400 beta testers have actually taken
the exam, I will close the beta, so don't delay and sign up on June 4th!
So to summarise:
1) You can sit the exam anytime from 6th June to 7th July, although your chances of getting through the beta improve if you sit the exam as early as possible.
2) The earliest you can book the exam is June 4th.
