Howdy --
First off, I really apologize for all the frustration. The confusion between the prometric centers and what is *really* supposed to be happening really sucks
I don't have any info, though, because Sun is closed down for this entire week (they do a complete holiday shut-down for the whole week, so virtually everyone is on vacation. And I am not involved in any of the business or logistics of the exam -- I work for the cert group only as a contract developer. So, unfortunately, I can't help with this except to relay your questions to Evelyn and others, but I don't know if anyone will be able to answer any questions (for you OR me) until next week.
I don't know what else to say except that Sun's process will probably be 'ugraded' in the future to make it better for all concerned. The communication with the prometric centers doesn't seem to have worked the way it should. I know Evelyn was doing her best to get the right
word to the right folks, so I'm not sure where all the confusion came in.
I don't know the exact numbers for vouchers; I just know that we need 400 exams to be taken.
Once again, I'm really very sorry about all this, and I wish I could do something besides try to make sure that the cert folks who can do something about this get the messages. But we might not know anything until next week, and I realize that this might be too late.
Wish I had better news.
There *will* be more
Java exam betas coming in the future -- perhaps at least TWO before the end of December, maybe three, depending on the finalization of the
J2EE (and related) specifications. Just what you wanted to hear... more fun betas to look forward to
cheers,
Kathy
