Howdy all! I have just finished reviewing the beta results and comments. The psychometricians are hard at work doing their statistical analysis, so we still do not know the passing percentage.
I went through the comments you posted during the exam and they were REALLY helpful.
And I'll tell you, that some of them were really funny. They're confidential, but I'll share a few of the more entertaining ones. At least a dozen that went something like this:
"Good question. Tricky. I have to pee."
"Are you sure you didn't mean to say 'declarative' instead of programmatic? I have to pee."
"I *think* I understand what you're asking here, but should we really be testing for this? I have to pee."
"Four hours is too frickin' long without a bathroom break!"

The only other recurring theme went like this:
"My brain hurts."
"My brain stopped working two hours ago."
"My brain has turned to mush."
"I can't figure out which is worse... the way my brain feels or the fact that I really have to pee..."
==========================
And since he's a bartender, I can mention him by name: Mark Spritzler wrote so many funny comments that my work was interrupted while I tried to stop laughing.
But in any case, the overall comments on each question were *extremely* helpful.
Thanks for making this the most kick-a** exam in the industry!
Now... we keep waiting. The statistical analysis should be done in early August, and hopefully the scores will be known as soon as possible after that.
Good luck to all participants, and thanks for the help!
Cheers,
Kathy

So many people want to piss. The testing centers should allow ppl to go to the toilet when they want to and I know for a fact the some testing centers provide drinking water to ppl who are taking the test.
I have been to several testing centers that provide water and one of them even have a coke machine like in Macdonald that u can get pepsi or coke etc... whenever u want to.

Hi Kathy,

Howdy all! I have just finished reviewing the beta results and comments.

What do you feel about the overall performance of the 600 beta ranchers?
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Yeah me too, maybe this is the first time that I fail,
I took the exam on the really its first day !
I was too self-confidence and didn't do much preparation.
I think it's a luck if I can pass above 50%
Anyway... I am waiting for the real one, Kathy when can we buy your book ?
Please give us apprx date, so we can prepare

Howdy all and thanks for the good comments
I don't know how people did on the beta yet, although I *do* know that a lot of beta testers did well -- better than we expected. In the end, we *did* get to 600 candidates taking the exam. So we'll see...
You just have to hang in there for a little while longer.
The book will be out right around the time of the exam, September. However, we *will* be looking for people to help us proof/beta the mock exams. We will post *some* of the questions here, but if you want to take the full mock exams, we'll let you know when we have them ready. We thought we'd have them by now, but it looks like another two weeks. You don't need to do anything now -- we'll post the info here.
cheers and good luck to the beta testers while you waaaaaaiiiiiiiiiittttttttt for the results.

I seem to recall them mentioning waaaaay back when that it would probably be mid-August when we found out.
Some of us aren't in any hurry to find out how badly we did, though.

I did reasonably bad in the exam, bad enough to fail. But if I pass I will attend your party.

Here is my guess:
I did not do any thing on 4 drag and drop question.
I know I made wrong answers on 3~6 question.
It means I made 10 wrong answers.
I think I made 20( 10*2, normmally double wrong answers which I know) wrong answers which I have not known yet.
For left 153 question, I think I will make 85% right answer. It means I will make 23 wrong answers.
Totally the wrong answers are 53. The score will be (183-53)/183 = 71%.
It is a dangerous guess score.
I feel that i may fail in the exam.

Let them point fingers. who cares? not me atleast. I know how hard i had to work to get the certifications. so that doesn't make sense to me AT ALL. Let them live in world of their own making. I really don't pay attention to what they write about Pakistanis or Indians. They waste everyone's time and thats the bottom line.

Thatz true. We cant really care about intentional censure.
But, we can surely avoid criticisms.

I am wonder why some guys are determined to keep their critisim towards Pakistani's and Indian's infact to my knowledge these two countries hae produced worlds top class programmer with high potential to work hard migt be some guys have a good shock from rise of Software Export and Outsourcing of IT Services from which Indian IT Industry has benifited a lot while being Pakistani IT Industry in Pakistan is not so strong still developers are enlisted for critisim.
Well to me there is a simple Persian proverb , "Don't reply to fools" so Pakistanis and Indians should follow the same.

I don't think that my statement will bring criticism. It was just an idea to add fun to the discussion, nothing more than that. I hope most of the guys could figure it out from what i wrote.
