Howdy all... there is some news on the exam. The passing percentage has NOT been officially announced (and you didn't hear it here ) but from what I have seen it will be somewhere in the 60's. Like, somewhere around 67%. I know that it will NOT be below 60, and will not be above 70.
So, it turned out the exam was a little more difficult than I had expected.
Most of the questions survived the beta exam (a few were thrown out because they were way too confusing, and a couple of the most elaborate drag n drops were dropped, but most are still there). There will be many, many different *versions* of the exam, so it will be more difficult for people to do full 'brain dumps' or to get a snapshot of all the possible questions, although there will obviously be a lot of overlap. If you took the exam twice, for example, some of the questions would be the same.
Once again, your comments on the beta were extremely helpful. We were able to correct typos and minor word changes that made it more clear. I was EXTREMELY impressed with the quality of the comments, so thanks to everyone who participated.
Expect the full exam to be out within 4 weeks from now, probably sooner.
Our study guide from O'Reilly will be out in September, although probably not available until closer to the end of the month; it is now available both from O'Reilly's site and Amazon.
I haven't been here much because we're trying desperately to finish the book, but it's probably time for things to start heating up on the forum now as the exam gets closer. So, expect to see more mock exam questions soon
cheers,
Kathy

Howdy -- just a little longer to wait! You should know very soon, probably within another week -- but I can't make any promises. I will try to get an update this week.
EVERYONE will get their results at the same time; in other words, it does not matter when you took the beta; no scores are determined until all of the results are completely analyzed. And *that* has already happened, so now I believe they're just finishing up the reporting process.
Should be soon!
Good luck...
-Kathy

Howdy -- I don't think we have the *exact* date set, but it should still be within two weeks from now. So, no guarantees yet, but it should be out sometime before September 7th.
Now, I am still checking on when beta results will be posted. I do know that it will be very very soon!
cheers,
Kathy
