+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hello Everyone !!
I am back to javaranch after a long time .. Its been like 3 months that i took SCWCD. I am interested in taking SCBCD now .. Can any one of you tell me how to go about it!! I was checking a few posts and saw that "Heads on EJB" is the most suggested book . I wanted to know if its similar to kathy and bert's book for SCJP. Does the heads on book cover everything for SCBCD ?? I would really appreciate your sincere suggestions on the exam for a beginner like me !!
Thanks in Advance!
Sirisha.

Howdy -- I can answer that one
The book is similar to our SCJP book in that yes, it does cover *everything* (well, *virtually* everything) that is on the exam. But... the style if drastically different! The format of this book is in the Head First series, and it is not for everyone. So you should check out some examples to be sure you know what you're in for
Head First EJB is part of the 'brain-friendly" series which means the format is designed to provide the learning experience in the way that your *brain* works, rather than the way that text books are generally produced (in a text-heavy way that is not what most brains learn best with). Again, it's not for everyone. But if you're willing to try something different, and you like visuals (they're on nearly every page), you might really enjoy it and you'll *definitely* learn from it!
cheers,
Kathy
