Wow!
Was too busy that could not visit the ranch during the weekend. And now what do I see - Sun's Free Java Certification banner - Flying high at the ranch!!! Ain't that great!
So I guess Paul's dream is finally coming true, or is it too early to say?? Anyway happy to see Java Certification banner from Sun, here at the ranch.
Later,
Hema

Hey, there it is. I never even noticed it. I'm conditioned to just ignoring ads on web sites. I wonder what else I've been missing...

Hey, did you notice that there is no Trademark[Tm] sign after the name Java? Its not Java Programmer Certification, instead Java Programmer Certification. Hmmm, Wonder how could that happen???

You could use Social Security number
or Prometric Registration number. I guess people outside US could use their registration number.

Wonder whether JavaRanch gets any acknowledgment if we use the javaranch banner to get to Sun's site( Similar to using javaranch links to buy books). Let us know Paul, If there is, let's show our strength!

I suspect that the veep from March knows nothing about this.
Kathy Sierra (founder of JavaRanch) e-mailed me and asked for a favor for Sun Ed. They need beta testers and they need them now! I told her that if she provided a banner, I would run it for a while. Surely there are plenty of folks at JavaRanch that would like to help out.

Greg,
If you pass, you won't need to take the exam again. See this thread: http://www.coderanch.com/t/237429/java-programmer-SCJP/certification/FREE-BETA-JAVA-PROGRAMMER-CERTIFICATION
