when i tried this command i got this message....
should it be something different
C:\projects\advice>java -cp %CLASSPATH%;adviceappClient.jar adviceclient.java
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: adviceclient/java

When executing a Java program with the java command, you should not include the file extension on the command line (.java or .class)
Try instead
java -classpath %CLASSPATH%;adviceappClient.jar adviceclient
