hi all,

can somone explain CMP,CMR .I didn't get proper idea of usings CMP's in DD and beanclass .Can we call abstract getter and setter methodsin businessmethods,that r exposed to client?
can someone suggest where I can find some detailed explanation on this topic.Iam not getting clear idea on this Entitybean Relationships.

Hi bhargavi,
As far as I understood, the only difference between a CMP field and a CMR field consists in the TYPE. For both you have to define a pair of abstract getters and setters, but while setting and returning a value that maps to a column in a table (CMP), you set and return a reference to another (local component interface) entity bean, or to a Collection of (local component interface) entity beans.
Using CMR in your code is made only by calling the abstract getters and setters that you have defined, but that the Container implements at deploy-time.
