Hi All: I am just curious as to what percentage of people who take the SCBCD, or any java cert for that matter, pass the exam. Also I am curious as to what the average score of someone who takes the exam. Are these figures posted anywhere? Thanks,
Howdy, No, Sun won't publish these numbers I *can* tell you, though, that if you look on javaranch, you get a VERY unrealistic picture of: A) how many people pass the exam B) what kind of scores they get in the rest of the non-javaranch world, people don't typically get the kind of high scores that you see among the ranchers... That's all I can say, though cheers, Kathy

Goes to show what a great resource Javaranch is. Those not using the ranch are missing out.
Hey Keith, I guess you're doing some pretty serious preparation for the BCD. Judging from your postings and passionate questions like "Why get an SCBCD?" ;-) my guess is that you're gonna give it anytime now. With the kind of authority and clarity that you answer questions from confounded ejb developers postings on this forum I'm sure you're gonna max the exam. Dont worry, stay cool and most of all remember;you already know all the stuff, you just have to dodge those bouncers that the exam is guaranteed to deliver (you'll appreciate this line if you're a cricket fan .. ) and you have plenty of time to do that. Good luck Keith. Cheers, Ryan

Hey Ryan, Thanks for your words of encouragement. I'm not worried about failing. I just want to understand all the subtleties of EJB. I hope to be ready for the exam by the end of the week. BTW. I've never played cricket and don't know much about it.
