I had completed SCJP in oct 2000. Can anybody tell me whether i am eligible for taking Developers Exam(EJB). If yes. How to Start Which books to read.

You can wirte SCBCD. start with Head First EJB by Kathy & Bert.

About the book of the certificate, you may consider Kathy and Berts' excellent book: HeadFirst EJB.
I am using it to prepare my SCBCD as well as IBM 484.
