The Deployer uses the DD to determine whether a MDB is intended for a Queue or a Topic? True or False?

I guess it's TRUE.

you have an entry in the DD for an MDB

the above example is for a MDB that listens to a queue, if it were for a Topic, the <destination-type> tag would have been

So, the deployer can look into the <message-driven-destination> tag for an MDB and can find out if it's intended for a Queue or a Topic.

I bet I know where this one came from ;-)

I think the deal is that the bean provider CREATES the DD entry (specifies if a Queue or Topic is called-for), but the deployer READS (uses) the DD entry to hook a physical Queue or Topic up for the application to use.
