Hi folks,

This question states that a single_valued_path_expression must have a String value.

According to the spec. 11.2.6.6 we are told that a single valued path expression resolves to the type of the cmp field or cmr field to which the expression navigates, that is the abstract scheme type of the related entity bean. Why is this always a String?

regards,
Simon

You need to refer to 11.2.7.8:

single_valued_path_expression [NOT] IN (string-literal [, string-literal]* )
The single_valued_path_expression must have a String value.

You are right. I missed the "what's true about JB-QL IN expressions" bit. Thanks once again, Roger.
