How to stop start the J2EE 1.3 server?

Using Sun's J2EE1.3 first time.
How to stop/start the J2EE server.
I used the j2ee.bat to start..it and it gives exception saying the server may be already running. How to stop the server?

with %J2EE_HOME%/bin folder in your classpath, open a command console and type:

j2ee -stop
