Servlets and JSP are not part of the SCBCD exam. The SCWCD exam focuses on them, though

ya, I know that, I was trying to ask whether I should go for SCWCD first or SCBDCD first, given that my knowledge of both EJB and JSP-Servlets is very less. Also, would it be logically simpler to pass SCBCD if i have cleared SCWCD ?

Thanks

The exam covers totally different objectives. And aparantly there is no reason, one cannot give SCBCD without giving SCWCD.

Do you have any experience of web technology, though? If not, and if u have got lots of time for study, experimentation etc, then go to SCBCD direct.

But if you can afford two exams, or want to go one step at a time do SCWCD first and then to SCBCD.

Not that it will make SCBCD too easy for you, but your understanding of few concepts may be better.

Yes, it is possible to take SCBCD without taking SCWCD and I have done so. But unless you have some obligatary reasons to take SCBCD(like job requirement or having too much experience in EJBs), I would recommend you to take SCWCD before SCBCD. Two exams are not related to eachother but SCBCD covers more abstract concepts than SCWCD. I took SCBCD only because I was waiting for HF servlets to be released and wanted to utilize the time before the book arrives.
