Hi All

Today i gave the HFE final mock test and scored 68%.On monday coming 20th sep i plan to give the test.im not sure looking at that result if i should be giving the test or not so early.I have been getting 80-90% in the ejbcertificate tests and feel ok with my prepration.
Please suggest how to go about.Im really feeling jitters right nwo.
How close is that mock test to the real exam.
Im solely preparing from HFE and Cheat Sheets by the moderator of this group.
Plus Notes by Mohan Murli Krishna .

Hope to hear real soon

Hi Gaurav,
Remember, HFE final mock exam does not indicate the no of correct answers. But the real exam does. So, there are chances of getting a high mark in the real exam. I scored 67% in the HF final exam, but scored 91% for the real exam.

So, go head and rock it dude

Gaurav -
I also say go for it! I got in the 70's for the HFE Final Mock Test, and only ended up around 70% in the ejbcertificate study tests. I got 94% on the real thing. I feel the real exam is much less tricky than some of the mocks. Or perhaps its just that you get so used to looking for the "tricks" in the mock exams it becomes easier to figure out the answers to the real questions. And, as Giju points out, the real exam tells you how many answers to pick. That alone makes a huge difference because you can be smart about ruling out some answers right away.

Good luck!

Hey Gaurav ,

I scored 60% on the final mock at HF because I do not pay atention on the tricks, and in the real exam they really matters and so make difference.
Therefore on the real exam I got 87% !!!

Hope this help ..

Gaurav,
It took me 2 months to prepare for the exam. Well, the work load was a bit high, so got hardly an hour/day. Read HFE twice and also followed valentin's "exam objectives-spec mapping". You can find that here : http://www.valoxo.ch/jr/cheatsheets.html.

Regarding the real exam, try to spend enough time on drag and drop questions and answer it correctly the first time itself. Coz, later if u come back to it, it resets all the prev answers.

Giju -
Good point about the drag and drops.

And one additional warning about them - when I returned to one of my drag and drop questions, some of the extremely important text was unreadable. Luckily, I remembered what it was about from my first time into the question.

Good luck!

Thanks guys

about the Drag and Drop i would surely keep that in mind.
from my SCJP experience i understand that
1. mark the quesions which u think are doubtful
2. keep a sheet where u note down the important interfaces and LCycle before exam .
3.revise the questions once u are done.
am i right in the approach.??
its hardly 72 hours left for me to give exam..
and dont know waht will happen tehre

cheers
Gaurav
