can entity bean get passivated in the middle of the transaction?. In case of session beans middle of transaction passivation won't occur. is it same for entity beans also.

I haven't come to that chapter. But i guess it makes more sense not to passivate them during the middle of the transaction.

According the EJB Especification the passivation could occurs when bean is a middle of transaction ...


The reference is page 169.... "The container can choose to passivate a entity bean within a transaction".
