In CMT,
If a first method which in transaction calls second method which trans-attribute value is NEVER , then second method throws exception.
this is fine.

but What exception will be thrown?

javax.transaction.NotSupportedException sounds right to me, but I'd consult the EJB specs for an authoritative answer.

The Container throws the java.rmi.RemoteException if client is a remote client, or javax.ejb.EJBException if client is a local client.
